Where else could those tiny particles go? How is it made?

Micro-hydroxyapatite is different in that it is a natural, larger particle, typically measured in microns rather than nanometers.

A micron is 1,000 times larger than a nanometer.

This means micro-hydroxyapatite particles are:

  • Large enough to stay localized in the mouth
  • Small enough to interact with and penetrate tooth enamel
  • Similar to the mineral structures already found in teeth

Even though micro-hydroxyapatite particles are larger than nano versions, they are still small enough to work effectively with enamel.

Tooth enamel contains microscopic pores and defects created through daily wear, acid exposure, and demineralization. Micro-hydroxyapatite particles adhere to the tooth surface, fill these microscopic defects and support mineral rebuilding.
