It hasn't been an easy road, but it's been the right one for us. Wellnesse is, and always has been, a labor of love. Not just for the health of our families, bur for the the health of environment, too - and for the well-being of every person involved in the creation of our products. Being environmentally-conscious is our focus from start to finish.
SAFE FOR YOU
We started Wellnesse to create healthy alternatives for our own family, and we would never create any product that we wouldn’t feel safe using on our kids or ourselves. That’s why we pledge to make only the highest quality products that are all-natural and non-toxic. But we also take it a step further by using ingredients that are good for you from the outside in – from mineral-building hydroxyapatite in our toothpaste, to tomato fruit extract in our shampoo. Our formulas work better than what’s already on shelves, but without toxins, parabens, sulfates and more. You can see all of our ingredients for yourself here and explore our collections here.
SAFE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Beyond using ingredients that are good for you, all of our products must meet strict environmental sustainability standards. We strive to make our business practices completely transparent in this area, and are thrilled to have received two key certifications that demonstrate our commitment to protecting our environment:
B CORP CERTIFIED
Having a B Corp Certification indicates that we meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance. This is determined by B Lab, a nonprofit network whose mission is to “transform the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.”
When a company applies to become a B Corp, B Lab starts with a thorough assessment. First, they evaluate the quality and sustainability of the company operations and business model. They look at everything from the supply chain to charitable giving and public transparency. This data is then used to understand how the business impacts workers, the environment, and customers, both now and in the future. These combined pieces ultimately determine whether the business is fit for Certification.

LEAPING BUNNY CERTIFIED
The Leaping Bunny Certification designates that our products are truly cruelty-free, which means no animal testing on any of our individual ingredients OR finished products. You can read more about what it means to be Leaping Bunny Certified here.

We source our products globally – not only so we’re able to source the best ingredients, but so we can source them ethically, too. This is also why many of our formulas are not certified organic. In fact, we’ve gone beyond organic. Here’s why:
Just because an ingredient is “certified organic,” it doesn’t mean that it’s ethically produced – and many times, certified organic ingredients come from countries where it’s difficult to know the full scope of the labor conditions. (Additionally, while some ingredients can be grown organically in the US, the plant may grow more purely and naturally in other places, which is always our preference).
