I've tried at least 12 dry shampoos, mostly spray. The sprays were too toxic for me - ick in so many respects! The dry forms were simply impossible to use and left granules in my hair or left it weirdly gooey in places. I made my own homemade and that wasn't too bad, but it was only ok. I tried this out of sheer curiosity, and I have to say that this stuff works! My hair is in better condition after using it. There is no strange smell. I have light brown hair but have found the dark version works better for me. I had a very difficult time getting 2 of them open and my husband had to take top apart in his shop, so that is not a win. I also lean over the sink or tub when I apply so any stray bits don't hit my clothes or floor. Yes, it is a bit messy but it is also not a toxic spray and it is also highly effective. The conditioners in it work. I use it as a thickener as much as for dry shampoo, and I am very happy with the results which are slightly thicker feeling hair that also feels good to touch and clean. I am older and time has made my naturally fine hair a bit thinner than in the past, and this really helps - a lot. Even if this did not make me so happy for the results, I would use it as a sort of dry conditioner. Don't worry about the price, it goes a long way and it is worth every penny.
